About

Here's a rough timeline of how I got here: the work, the context, and what I picked up along the way. I also keep a blog for things about my life or interests I want to document.

2018 – 2023

Northeastern Illinois University

I've always been drawn to consumer technology. The way good products just feel right. Wanting to understand how they actually work internally, I decided to pursue computer science. Along the way I discovered interaction design and made it a minor. It reframed how I think about building: functionality and feel aren't separate concerns.

Summer 2023

Software Developer Intern - FCB Chicago (now BBDO Chicago)

My first real developer role. I built a full-stack office reservation platform, but what I took away went beyond the code. Learning how to collaborate across a team, communicate with stakeholders, and understand what it actually means to ship something people depend on.

2023 – 2025

Discovery

A chapter defined less by titles and more by intentionality. I earned certifications through CodePath's intermediate and advanced web development programs, building full-stack applications and pushing deeper into the craft on my own terms. I traveled to Japan, South Korea, Barcelona, and Morocco, where I watched my best friend get married. Those trips gave me space to think clearly about what I actually wanted from a career, and what I valued beyond it. Family losses during this time added a different kind of weight, and a different kind of clarity. I came out with a stronger sense of direction and a better understanding of myself.

2025 – Present

Software Development Engineer 1 - WEX Inc.

Working on benefits technology. The infrastructure that helps people access and understand their employee benefits. Based in Chicago.

Side Quests

Building & Learning

Working on Cicero on the side, and always in some stage of ideating something new. Lately I've been applying what I'm learning about agentic coding and modern tech stacks. Less about following tutorials, more about building real things and seeing what breaks.
